Spectrum produces a line of preschool workbooks that you can purchase online, or at an office supply store such as Staples. Spectrum Basic Concepts and Skills, Spectrum Math and Spectrum Letter Readiness are all workbooks designed for preschoolers. There are approximately 160 pages in each book, so parents can just introduce one page per day. The lessons are colorful and contain cute animal characters to keep the children interested.
Riverdeep produced Reader Rabbit workbooks. Reader Rabbit also has a series of computer software that parents can use in addition to, or in place of the workbooks. Reader Rabbit workbooks are the best because they are larger than other workbooks, and they follow Reader Rabbit and his friends on many adventures. Lesson include alphabet skills, numbers, colors, phonics, shapes and writing basics. Each of these workbooks contain around 320 pages with stickers for parents or teachers to use if the children do well on their work. A certificate of completion is also provided at the end of the workbook to be presented to the preschooler at the end of the year.
Preschool Basics is produced by School Zone Publishing. The workbook is short at only 32 pages, but this is because School Zone Publishing has a whole line of preschool books. Children can go from book to book. Other titles include Thinking Skills, Mazes, Beginning Sounds, Counting 1 to 10, Connect the Dots, Shapes, Colors, Uppercase Alphabet and Lowercase Alphabet. This series is simple and geared toward younger preschoolers.
Most parents and educators know Fisher-Price creates toys for toddlers and small children, but they are not aware that Fisher-Price has a line of preschool workbooks. Exploring My World Preschool Workbook is one of those books. It contains 72 pages that teach number concepts, math readiness, sounds and letter, reading readiness and beginning writing. Parents and educators may also want to use Fisher-Prices' workbooks titled "I Can Learn Shapes," "I Can Learn Letters" and "I Can Learn Opposites."
