Print several pictures of animals, such as a dog, cat, lion, monkey, snake and cow. Place the animal pictures in a bowl and select one preschooler to go first. He must draw a picture out of the bowl and act out the animal to the class. He can use movements and sounds to act out the animal. The first player to guess the animal correctly can go next.
Place several random items inside paper bags so the preschoolers cannot see the items. Use items such as an apple, a bell, a key, a plastic toy car and a leaf. One at a time, preschoolers must select a paper bag. She must reach in the paper bag and feel the item inside. She has three guesses to try to identify the item. If she guesses correctly, she earns a small prize.
Mark a starting line and a finish line about 20 feet apart. Give each preschooler an inflated balloon and tell him to practice tapping the balloon in the air. Have all the preschoolers line up at the starting line with their balloons. When you say, "Go," they must tap their balloons in the air toward the starting line without allowing the balloon to touch the ground. The first player to cross the finish line wins the game.
Place several items, such as a plastic toy dog, an orange, a remote control and a toy car, on a tray. Bring the tray into the room and have all the preschoolers look at the items. Take the tray out of the room and tell them to try to remember all the items on it. Award a prize to each preschooler who can remember an item from the tray.
Scatter a large bag of colored plastic balls all over the floor or outside on the playground. Divide the preschoolers into different teams and assign each team a color. When you say, "Go," the players must run around collecting their team color plastic balls. Give each team a bucket to collect their balls. The first team to collect all their team color balls wins the game.
