Ask the children to stand in a circle. After explaining how important it is to stretch before exercising, instruct them to bring their knee to their chin 10 times. Then, one side at a time, instruct them to stick a thumb under their armpit and move it up and down while doing a side stretch. Next, instruct them to grab the skin on their neck and move it side to side. Finally, ask them to put all the stretches together and make chicken noises.
This game is both a learning and physical activity. Have the children stand in a circle and think of an action that starts with the first letter of each child's names, such as Kicking Katie. After the child does the action, the other children repeat the action. If a child can't think of an action, ask the group to help hers.
In this activity, have each preschooler take a turn at kicking a ball in an outside area. Instruct each student to kick the ball as far as she can. Place a cone about 10 to 12 yards away to show her how far you want her to kick the ball.
This activity requires preschoolers to work together to keep a balloon in the air. Have them stand in a circle. Throw a balloon in the air and instruct the children to keep the balloon from hitting the ground. Preschoolers can use several body parts to keep the balloon in the air, including knees, elbows, head and hands.
