DVDs to Help Children Begin to Read

Learning to read is a gradual process beginning when children are as young as a year old. As adults read and share stories and books with young children, they begin to learn about print, letters, sounds and books. As children grow and become more aware of the concepts of print, they are ready to learn the alphabet and letter sounds. Instructional DVDs can be helpful tools in teaching children phonics concepts and word building.
  1. Your Baby Can Read

    • The "Your Baby Can Read!" Deluxe Kit includes five instructional DVDs with accompanying sliding words cards and flap books for each reading level. It also includes a parent's guide with tips on using the DVDs, a DVD for parents to watch before beginning reading instruction and teaching cards with interactive game ideas. At the time of this publication, customers may try the program for 30 days, risk-free, for $14.95 plus shipping and handling.
