Children will love to see their names in print. Set aside space in the newsletter for September birthdays. List their names and ages in the section. If you have parents' permission, include photos of the birthday girls and boys. Also, pictures of any birthday celebrations held at the school can be included in the newsletter.
Let parents know when the school will be closed for any holidays, such as Labor Day. Also, include any field trips that you may have planned or in-house activities that may require parental involvement. Keeping parents informed on what their children are learning and experiencing at school can help ease anxiety of parents sending their little one to school.
September is the the beginning of school for a lot of students. Include a list of supplies that your students can bring in to keep the classroom fully stocked. They can be old dress-up clothes, books or toys. Let parents know when and how they can turn in the supplies. Additionally, set a date for when the supplies are due.
Parents want to know that their children are in good hands. In September, there are a lot of changes and adjustments as school starts up again. Introduce one or two teachers to parents through the newsletter each month. Include fun information such as favorite color, school subject, or pet, as well as educational background and experience.
