Give each child a piece of off-white paper to make into a scroll, like the one the disciples used in order to spread the word of Jesus Christ after his death. Have the children draw a line down the middle, indicating the two sides of the page and and write down the name of their favorite Bible verse or disciple. The children will then curl up the pages on each side so that it appears as though it is a scroll.
The 12 disciples were also known as "fishers of men" during their time with Jesus. This meant that they "caught" people and led them toward the teachings of Jesus. Give each child a piece of fishnet. Have children draw and color little fish on pieces of paper and cut them out with safety scissors. The children will then glue the fish to the fishnet.
The Last Supper represents the night Jesus and his disciples celebrated the Jewish festival of Passover. This was their last meal together the night before Jesus died. Have your preschoolers create a Last Supper table by taking pieces of rectangular paper and folding the ends inward so that the table stands up on its own. The children will then draw Last Supper objects like matzoh, wine and horseradish.
Give the children some polymer clay and have them mold their favorite disciple, or Jesus, from the clay. The children can do this literally, such as making a figure of their favorite disciple, or figuratively, by choosing to shape something that he represents (such as his occupation or a defining characteristic). You can then put them in the oven until they harden and give them to the children to take home to their parents.
