Utilize group discussions during your class to talk about the books. Make sure that every junior high student has the chance to speak about the topic. If a student is being quiet, try to draw her into the discussion by asking her what she thinks about the topic. Link the students' ideas together by showing the similarities between them.
Place projects and discussion topics on the Internet for students to learn and study. Junior high students are extremely oriented to technology and will gravitate towards this type of learning style. Post a discussion question online to have the students talk about in their next class.
Make the activities during class social by working in small groups. Bring projects related to the Bible where students can work in groups of play games. This will liven the atmosphere and give the students the opportunity to interact with one another. Games such as Bible jeopardy can bring a fun element to the class when the students are getting restless.
Read the Sunday School books out loud in class. Have each student read a portion of the book, taking turns. After you have finished a section, have a group discussion about the significance of what you just read.
