How old can a special education student be in middle school Michigan?

In Michigan, students with disabilities can receive special education services until they turn 26. Therefore, there's no upper age limit for a special education student in middle school (or high school) specifically; they can remain in the middle school setting as long as it's deemed appropriate in their Individualized Education Program (IEP) and until they age out of the system at 26.
