Do you still have to be enrolled in school at age 17 if move away from home?

In the United States, the compulsory education laws vary by state. While most states require students to attend school until age 16 or 17, simply moving away from home doesn't automatically change that requirement. If you are under the compulsory age for your state, you are still legally required to attend school, even if you've moved. Your new state's laws will apply in that case. You would need to enroll in a school in your new location to meet this requirement.
