What types of schools does Egypt have?

Public schools:

* Primary schools: These schools provide education for children from ages 6 to 12 and cover the primary curriculum, which includes Arabic, mathematics, science, social studies, and English.

* Preparatory schools: These schools provide education for children from ages 12 to 15 and cover the preparatory curriculum, which builds on the primary curriculum and also includes subjects such as physics, chemistry, biology, and computer science.

* Secondary schools: These schools provide education for children from ages 15 to 18 and cover the secondary curriculum, which prepares students for university entrance. Secondary schools offer a variety of specializations, such as science, arts, commerce, and technology.

Private schools:

* National private schools: These schools are operated by private individuals or organizations but follow the Egyptian national curriculum.

* International schools: These schools offer an international curriculum, such as the British, American, or French curriculum, and are typically attended by children of expatriates or by Egyptians who want their children to have an international education.

Religious schools:

* Azhar schools: These schools are operated by the Al-Azhar University and offer an education based on Islamic principles.

* Coptic schools: These schools are operated by the Coptic Orthodox Church and offer an education based on Christian principles.

In addition to these types of schools, Egypt also has a number of vocational and technical schools that provide training in specific trades and professions.
