Why should students be removed from public school if they meet minimum standards of achievement?

Students should not be removed from public school if they meet minimum standards of achievement. All children have a right to a quality education, regardless of their academic ability. Removing students from school for not meeting certain achievement levels is unfair and harmful. It does not help the students or society. Many factors can affect a student's academic achievement, such as poverty, family issues, and learning disabilities. Removing students from school for not meeting certain achievement levels does not address these factors or help students improve their academic performance.
