Describe area in your own words math class?
In math class, "area" is the amount of space inside a two-dimensional shape. Think of it like how much paint you'd need to cover a flat surface completely. We measure area in square units (like square centimeters, square inches, or square meters) because we're counting how many of those little squares would fit inside the shape. Different shapes have different formulas to calculate their area, depending on their sides and angles.
