Designed for preschool to grade 2, the Stickybear ABC Deluxe program consists of four learning activities that teach kindergarten students to identify, pronounce and write the letters of the alphabet. This program allows teachers to control the material that students work with and to make adjustments to activities. Worksheets can be printed as well.
The Stickybear Opposites Deluxe program is an interactive program that teaches children to select from three activities which teach them about identifying and naming opposites. The program is designed to enable kindergarten students to recognize opposite pairs and also encourages the development of skills like language and problem solving.
Stickybear Shapes Deluxe includes four activities that teach kindergarten students to identify shapes and to name each shape. The Find It activity, for example, requires students to identify a shape within a picture. This program also focuses on creative expression in its Draw It activity where children draw a shape picture.
Stickybear Numbers Deluxe teaches numeracy with four activities that look at the numbers 0 through 9, and as the child's ability to recognize numbers increases, this program includes activities that work on recognizing numbers through 30. This program uses graphics and an easy to use interface to conduct the activities for children at all reading levels. Kindergartners will be able to use visual and auditory clues to identify and write numbers using this program. Teachers can also modify the programs to target specific numeracy skills if needed.
Stickybear Phonics 1, targeted at preschoolers to third graders, teaches children to sound out words. It uses videos to demonstrate skills, which include actors to show kindergartners how the mouth moves with each sound and allowing them to clearly hear how each is pronounced. This program begins by reviewing the alphabet and then continues to consonant and vowel sounds. Stickybear Phonic 1 uses sight words, stories and workbook activities that enable kindergarten students to review and practice the skills as they learn.
Stickybear Time uses activities, illustrations and speech to teach kindergarten students how to tell time on both analog and digital clocks. The program leads kindergartners through four sections which can be paced to their learning ability.
Stickybear Money teaches children to recognize coins and paper currency. Students hear and see ways in which money is used to buy and sell in different denominations. Teachers can adapt difficulty levels depending on the student's understanding of money concepts. You can introduce single coins and basic counting activities as well as more advanced activities that use all denominations. For example, Heads or Tails introduces coins and teaches children to count money, while Adding Money goes beyond this simple concept to adding and subtracting different amounts of money. The six activities in this program can be used in structured and unstructured modes.
