Christmas Gifts for Kindergarten Teachers

Kindergarten teachers like to receive gifts from their students, but they do not expect them. During the Christmas season, giving a present is a good way for children and parents to show their appreciation. If students learn their teachers' likes and dislikes from everyday interaction, they will be able to select an appropriate gift. Elaborate, expensive gifts are not necessary; teachers know about working on a tight budget.
  1. Practical

    • Most teachers will appreciate gifts that are useful. They always need Post-it notes, dry-erase markers and pens. A gift bag with these or similar items is appropriate. Teachers usually have to buy most of their classroom supplies themselves.

Other practical gifts include gift certificates to local restaurants or teacher supply stores. During this time of the year, these gifts help the teacher simplify and enjoy the holiday season.

    Personal

    • Any teacher will love a gift that has been specially made for them. Some of these include personalized shirts or crocheted blankets. Students can have a class or individual picture framed for the teacher's desk or fill a pencil holder with candy. After the treats are gone, the pencil holder can be used, as opposed to mugs, which most teachers already have in abundance.

Students can make cookies, brownies, or any food item they know their teacher likes. These can be made with little expense, and teachers will appreciate the effort that went into making them.
