The Cool Moves activity from Colgate encourages healthy brushing and flossing techniques. There are two different videos highlighting exactly how to accomplish these activities. Watch the videos with your children and encourage them to test it out for themselves.
Click on the Super Dentist activity and print out a colorful PDF file. The activity features a word find helping Dr. Rabbit locate things that begin with the letter "S." It also contains a one-week checklist for kids to use each time they brush during the day. You could either print the chart for your children at home or use multiple copies for a classroom activity.
Young children get excited by the prospect of losing teeth. At Colgate, kids can get an email from the Tooth Fairy. Visit the Colgate website with your child and let him type in his email address on the activity page. Hit the "Put Your Tooth Under Your Pillow" button and the Tooth Fairy sends a personalized email.
Brush with the Animals is another PDF Colgate kid's activity. The printout contains a coloring page with jungle animals, but first children must find the four tubes of toothpaste and six toothbrushes hiding in the picture. At the bottom of the page is a weekly brushing chart.
You can print out a PDF file for the Colgate activity Letter Fun. Using pictures as clues, kids fill in one missing letter for each object. Letters from each of the words combine to answer the question of what kind of toothpaste Dr. Rabbit uses. A weekly brushing checklist is also included.
Print out the Brush Chart for a full-page form to keep track of your kid's tooth brushing. Color in the top section and hang it on the bathroom wall. Every morning when your child brushes her teeth, she can color in the sun. At night, she can color in the moon.
Rhyme Find is the last kid's activity on Colgate's website and provides another printout. It focuses on rhyming, with one presented word followed by a picture of something that rhymes. Kids fill in the rhyming words. The final clue involves dental care. A brushing chart is also included.
