How to Help My Child With Short & Long Vowels

Teaching children to read with phonics is a proven technique. Children often have a problem recognizing and differentiating the short and long vowel sounds. Preschool and kindergarten teachers review these sounds with students as they are teaching children the alphabet and to read. Reviewing them at home with your child is simple and can help them with retention. The time spent with your children reviewing the sounds is an incredible time to bond with each other.
