How many people use the internet to search information about education?

As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, the number of people using the internet to search for information about education was constantly growing. However, the exact figure may vary depending on various factors, such as geographical location, access to the internet, and socio-economic conditions. Here are some statistics from the time of my last update:

- A 2021 report from the World Bank estimated that 56.6% of the global population had access to the internet. This means that billions of people around the world have the potential to use the internet for educational purposes.

- According to a 2020 survey by the Pew Research Center in the United States, 74% of adults with a high school degree or less had used the internet to look up information about schools, colleges, or other educational programs.

- In a separate study conducted by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in 2020, it was found that 85% of students aged 15 years old and above in OECD countries reported using the internet to search for information about education and training opportunities.

These figures indicate a significant portion of the population using the internet to search for education-related information. With the continuous expansion of internet access and the increasing digitization of educational resources, it is likely that this trend has only grown since my last update.
