Percentage of graduating teachers each year?

According to the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), the percentage of graduating teachers each year has been declining in recent years. In the 2018-19 school year, there were 124,000 new public school teachers, down from 130,000 in the previous year. This represents a decline of about 5%.

The decline in the number of graduating teachers is due to a number of factors, including:

* A decrease in the number of college students majoring in education

* An increase in the number of teachers leaving the profession

* A lack of qualified candidates to fill teaching positions

The decline in the number of graduating teachers is a serious concern, as it could lead to a shortage of qualified teachers in the future. This could have a negative impact on the quality of education and the ability of schools to provide all students with a high-quality education.
