For a formal evaluation, she first meets with the teacher to discuss what will occur during the lesson. She takes notes during the evaluation and also hosts a post-conference to discuss her findings. An informal evaluation is unannounced. The assistant principal visits the classroom and may walk through and quickly speak with select students.
