How to Change Assessment Options in WebCT

WebCT is a classroom productivity enhancer used by students and teachers. WebCT is the personal Web page of a class. Teachers utilize WebCT to post assignments, remind students of due dates, upload grades and conduct class discussions via a message board. Perhaps the most time-saving aspect of WebCT for teachers is the ability to quiz or test students via the Assessment feature. This feature lets teachers customize quizzes or tests and upload them. The teacher may need to make changes to the assessment however. Knowing how to make such changes can save time and not disrupt the learning process.

      Open your Web browser and log in to the WebCT website with your username and password.

      View a listing of all created assessments by choosing "Assessments" from the Course Tools Menu.

      Find the assessment for which you want to change the options in the assessment window and click the gray "Action Menu" icon next to the assessment's name. Select "Edit Properties" from the drop-down options list.

      Institute desired changes to the assessment. Possible options include renaming the assessment, changing the duration of the assessment, altering how the questions are presented to the students, determining how many attempts the students have to complete the assessment and whether scores will be released following completion of the assessment.
