How to Decorate a Daycare in Frogs

With both parents frequently working outside of the home, children are spending more time with other child care providers, including daycare centers. Make your daycare a fun place for children to grow and learn when parents are at work. Decorate with fun themes, bright colors, and exciting visual art that stimulates the children's creativity. Using frog decor in a daycare is an ideal theme, as frogs appeal to children of all ages and both boys and girls.

Instructions

    • 1

Visit a fabric store and select a frog fabric for the infant room bedding. Select a fabric with tranquil colors to put the babies at ease. You can have someone make the bedding and curtains out of your material if you do not sew. There are also frog-patterned sets for sale at baby stores.

Paint murals that coordinate with the fabric you chose on the infant room walls. Take a fabric swatch to a mural artist and see if she can incorporate an element into wall art. Lily pads or pond scenes make good mural ideas.

    • 3

Create a pond theme in the older toddlers' room. The children in this room are learning how things work in the world and will be intrigued by a pond scene. Paint pond murals on the wall with fun, colorful frogs in their natural habitat. Use green carpet squares or pillows on the floor as lily pads and leaves for the students to sit on during reading time. Use a fishing pole as a curtain rod.

Use rainforest frogs for the after-school room for older children. Incorporate rainforest posters and materials so the children can learn about the rainforests and their inhabitants. Set up a reading corner that looks like a piece of the rainforest with frog pillows, fake trees and a sound machine.
