Instructions for the Texas Instrument TI-34 II SD

The Texas Instruments TI-34 II Explorer Plus calculator does basic scientific and trigonometric functions. It has a two-line display and is capable of solving problems with fractions and mixed numbers. The display can scroll to show up to 88 characters on the first line, and 10 characters and a two-character exponent on the second line. The calculator is solar-powered and doesn't need batteries. It is useful for Algebra I & II, Geometry, Biology, general science and middle school math.

Instructions

      Press "On" to turn the calculator on. Press "2nd" to turn the calculator off or clear the display.

      Press "2nd" before you press a key to use the function printed above the key.

      Press "2nd" "Ans" to view the last answer that was calculated. This can be viewed even when the calculator has been turned off after the last calculation.

      Save operations you wish to use frequently by pressing "2nd" "Op1" or "Op2." Enter the operation you wish to save and press "Enter." You will then be able to press the "Op" button to do the operation again.

      Press "Clear" to clear an operation. Press "Del" to delete one character at a time.

      Press "2nd" "Math" to do math functions. These functions will appear in a menu, choose the one you wish to use.

      Press "2nd" "Trig" to see a menu of trig functions. Press "2nd" "log" to view a menu of log functions.

      View fractions as either decimals, mixed numbers or fractions. "2nd" "FracMode" gives you access to the fraction menu. "Unit" separates whole numbers from fractions and "/" separates numerators from denominators.
