Utilize your school colors. Choosing your school colors makes it simple, plus the jackets will match all of the team uniforms.
Choose a jacket style. Typically a varsity jacket has a matching collar, cuffs and bottom band. Other styles, such as hooded jackets, are also available.
Decide what features you will place on each jacket. If the jacket is for the girls' basketball varsity team, for instance, you will want to include a basketball in your design. The school's letters or mascot name and student names, team numbers and graduation years should also be included somewhere in the jacket design.
Leave space for each girl to add her own individual patches. While the varsity jacket may be for one particular sport or activity, there are patches available for numerous extracurricular activities. These patches can be purchased separately and sewed on.
Try not to cram too much onto the jackets; smaller sizes may end up looking cluttered.
