- Nouns
The nominative singular of a noun is given in Dictionaries. This is the form as pronounced in the nominative case. The pronunciation is the same for feminine and masculine; the difference, with a few exceptions, being indicated in the plural.
- Verbs
In Gaelic there is no infinitive (e.g. to go). When a verb in English is given in the infinitive, it is written as a verbal noun in Gaelic, e.g. to learn = ionnsachadh.
