Can two sentences make a paragraph?

Technically, a paragraph should consist of at least three sentences that develop a central idea. However, there are exceptions to this rule. Short paragraphs called "micro paragraphs" can be effective in certain writing contexts. For example, in creative writing or poetry, a single sentence or a pair of sentences can be crafted intentionally to create a specific mood or atmosphere. Similarly, in journalism or nonfiction writing, a two-sentence paragraph might serve as a brief introduction or concluding thought, drawing attention to a particular point without the need for further explanation.
