Alliteration:

-"There the raging river rushed out,**

Rolling rocky waves along its path.**"

Kenning:

- "'whale-road'" or '"swan's path'" to refer to the sea

- "'battle-storm'" or "'hate-battle'" for war

-"'sea-wood' or 'whale's cottage'" to mean ship
