Heads Up Seven Up is a simple game that can be used in moderate to large classes. All but seven students lay down their heads on the table. Those seven students walk around and each taps one person on the head who raises his thumb. When everybody is done, the seven tappers shout "Heads Up, Seven Up" and the seven tapped people stand up and guess who touched them. If correct, they switch places with the one who tapped them; if not, the same students continue the game.
In the game "Who am I?" a student leaves the classroom, while the other students choose an identity or profession for her, such as a "teacher". Then the returning student will try to guess it by asking what she needs to buy for herself to be the character, for example, "books," "pens" and "chalk." Based on the students' answer, she will guess the occupation.
The game "Hen and Chicks" is best played outside as the kids will need to occupy space and run around. Decide on two safe points with a designated student as the hen in the middle. The hen then calls for her little chicks, and the other students run from one safe point to the other, while the hen tries to catch them. Anyone tapped by the hen will help her catch more little chicks.
In the game "Password," two students will sit facing the class while you write a word on the board, for example, "pilot." The other students will give them one-word clues, such as "airport" or "plane" to help them guess the secret word. Whoever guesses the word first, gets a point.
