It is important to feel at ease when trying to concentrate. If you feel anxious, stressed or worried, it is difficult to pay attention to a task at hand. There is no better way to release the stress than through physical exercise. If you experience anxiety, you should try doing yoga regularly, walk or do any kind of sport that releases the bad energy. When the body is occupied with physical effort, it is more difficult to hold on to the feeling of anxiety.
It has been established that our mind is more at ease when we are working according to a schedule. The way the schedule is set up should be a result of keen observation of your working and resting habits. Within that schedule there should be an appointed time for physical exercise. Because the body is well rested in the morning, physical exercise is most beneficial in the morning; however, not everybody is able to squeeze in the morning exercise. If you are not a morning person, you can exercise any time you feel comfortable, as long as you do it regularly.
Inability to concentrate can be a result of eating the wrong foods. Processed foods, refined carbohydrates, fried foods and foods containing refined sugars, such as soft drinks, contain toxic chemicals that deplete our bodies of nutrients such as B vitamins. The wrong foods may also make you feel tired and adverse to the idea of exercising. Lack of good nutrition and exercise might make you feel lethargic or restless, which will result in bad concentration.
When you exercise regularly, you begin to notice how good your body and soul feel. You see your body is slimmer, your mind is more settled, and you somehow feel happier. You also start to see results of your hard, intellectual work. Because every area of your life is balanced and taken care of, you can concentrate easier on a task at hand and make the most of the time you are devoting to academic or work-related endeavors.
