Ideas for a Fourth Grade Send Off Party Keepsake

There are many homemade keepsakes that can be made for fourth grade send off parties. These keepsakes offer ways to remember certain friends that you may not get a chance to see again, or at least for the summer. A fourth grade send off party keepsake will give the person using it a way to find out things from friends that they may not have learned otherwise. These keepsakes are simple to make and mostly require a pen or marker.
  1. Signature T-Shirts

    • This keepsake is reasonably priced and very simple to make. All you need is a blank t-shirt and a permanent marker. Different colored markers can add more flash and character to the shirt. The keepsake is the T-shirt that has been signed by all of the other students. You can wear the shirt as usual, but it would be easier for friends to sign it if you carry it around instead. Pictures and quotes can be drawn and written on the shirt as well.

    Send Off Party Scrapbook

    • A scrapbook is a great idea for a fourth grade send off party keepsake. With this keepsake, you will need a camera to take pictures of everyone. Designate a page of the scrapbook for each of the students and maybe even the teacher. Take pictures throughout the day or at the party. Make sure to take one picture of each student to be placed on their page. Take the scrapbook around during the party and let the students write on their page. They can write messages, farewells or jokes and memories. After the party, have the photos printed and paste each student's picture on their page along with the party pictures on the class's pages.

    Video Keepsake

    • Video keepsakes have been around for years in the form of home videos. These videos capture every detail about the day and are great for fourth grade send off parties. But cameras should only be used if the child can be trusted not to break it or if an adult is supervising. Take the camera around and let each student say a few words, make a funny face, or whatever they decide to do while the camera is on them. It will be very entertaining to go back and watch this keepsake one, five, ten, and even twenty years from now.

    Memory Blanket

    • A memory blanket is a keepsake that can also be used after the party. A throw blanket will work best because it is small enough to carry around and large enough to cover you. Blankets made out of thick fuzzy material, such as fleece, will not work as well. Choose a smooth fabric like cotton instead. Take the blanket around to the other students during the party. Let each student sign their name, write a message, draw a picture, or anything else they would like you to remember them by. These keepsake blankets can be hung on the wall, if they are not too large.
