How to Introduce Poetry to Grade Three

By the time students have reached the third grade, their reading skills should be proficient enough to have an in depth understanding of the material they read. Teaching students about the art of poetry will enhance their oral language, reading and writing skills. It will also help them to visualize the material and gain a deeper understanding of the written content.
