AP World History is an Advanced Placement course that is offered in high schools. It is a rigorous course that covers the history of the world from approximately 8000 BCE to the present. Students who take AP World History and score a 4 or 5 on the AP exam can earn college credit for the course. The amount of credit awarded varies from college to college, but most colleges award 3-6 credits for a score of 4 or 5 on the AP World History exam.
