Recommended biographies from the 7th grade reading list include "Diary of a Young Girl," by Anne Frank and "The Defenders," by Ann McGovern. Other fiction books your child can enjoy include "Black Pearl," by Scott O'Dell and "Call It Courage," by Armstrong Sperry.
"Invincible Louisa, the Story of the Author of Little Women," by Cornelia Meigs and "J.R.R. Tolkien: The Man Who Created The Lord of the Rings," by Michael Coren, are some biographies recommended if you are homeschooling your child. Fiction recommendations include "Jacob Have I Loved," by Katherine Paterson and "Kidnapped," by Robert Louis Stevenson.
If you are homeschooling a child in high school, some recommended literature selections are "1984," by George Orwell; "The Great Gatsby," by F.Scott Fitzgerald; and "Death of a Salesman," by Authur Miller.
