Give a brief background of your research, such as why you were conducting it and what you hoped to find out.
Explain the type of data you were gathering during your research. For example, you may have been collecting data that dealt with the number of single, married and divorced people between certain age groups within a given population.
Talk about how you collected the data. Using the above example, you may have simply conducted surveys or you may have been able to access court records, depending on the area where you live.
Give details about how you analyzed the data that you collected. Be sure to mention any software programs used, sample sizes and anything that could have skewed the results of your research.
Conclude the quantitative methods paper by giving your conclusions about the data you gathered and the research you completed, as well as whether or not you feel your hypothesis has been proven, disproved or if more research or information would be needed.
