Write the author of the book, starting with the last name. Use a comma between each author and an ampersand (&) between the second to last and last author. Put a period after the name of the author or authors. Put the year the book was published in parentheses. Follow the parentheses with a period.
Write the name of the chapter as it is written in the book. Put a period after the chapter title.
Write In and include the name of the editor, substituting an initial for the first name. Use commas between each editor and an ampersand (&) between the second to last and last editor. Put Ed. in parentheses after the name if there is only one editor and Eds. in parentheses if there are multiple editors. Put a comma after the parentheses.
Write the name of the book in italics. The first word of the book title should be capitalized, but none of the subsequent words should be. Put the page numbers of the chapter, prefacing them with pp. in parentheses after the book title and follow the parentheses with a period.
Write the name of the city where the book was published. Follow it with a colon. Write the name of the publisher. End the citation with a period. The final product should look similar to:
