How to Learn Agricultural English

English is the lingua franca of an enormous variety of contexts, including business, politics, culture, sports and art. Agriculture is no exception. English is spoken in countries that are the breadbaskets of the world, including Canada, the U.S. and Australia. In addition, it is also used by scientists working to increase yields and fight diseases of plants and farm animals. English is also spoken by international traders of agricultural produce. However, English used in the agriculture sector is full of words and phrases that are unique to this industry, so you must learn those terms if you want to be able to communicate with other professionals in the field.

Read agriculture glossaries. There are thousands, if not tens of thousands of words that are concerned with different aspects of the agriculture industry.
