Look for an Arabic CD program that has the text to accompany the listening exercises. Read as you listen and reinforce the language skills you develop.
Play the CD, rewind and speak along with the presenter. Just as babies learn language by constantly mimicking words, so, too, do adults. Repeat each exercise until you learn to say the words properly. One way to test this is to record yourself as you repeat what is on the CD and to then assess your pronunciation.
Start a vocabulary book. As you learn new words from the CDs, jot them down in your vocabulary book and try write a sentence with each new word.
Listen to Arabic CDs when you are driving to work. If you commute, this is an ideal way to study Arabic. If you are worried that other drivers will think you are deranged for talking to yourself, wear headphones and everyone will think you've talking on your cell phone.
Start off with basic Arabic CDs and add to your collection as you go. From time to time, listen to the earlier CDs again, to refresh your memory.
Buy or download Arabic music CDs. Don't limit your study of Arabic to spoken language and grammar exercises. Incorporate music and learn to sing along with the melodies on the CDs.
