Tray cables are specially designed wires for outdoor use. They conduct currents up to 600V. These types of wires do not burn easily and can last in conditions of up to 90 degrees Celsius. Tray cables are well suited to use in the air, underground or in ducts and conduits for extra protection.
SJTW wires are suitable for small appliances used outdoors that do not exceed 300V. These types of cables have PVC insulation and a jacket of similar material to protect them from mechanical damage. They work best in environments with temperature ranging from -40 C to 60 C.
SEOW and STOOW cables are very tough wires generally used to wire outdoor machines and equipment around construction sites. They withstand minimum temperatures of up to -50 C and maximum temperatures up to 105 C. They can carry current loads of up to 600V. These are portable cords. They are never placed underground; rather, they are usually used in applications that require them to move with the machinery and tools they are connected to.
They are tough cords with insulation and jacket made from thermoset or rubber. They work well in industrial environments that expose them to oils, chemicals or abrasion or in any other application that might lead to hard use and possible physical damage. They are suited to places with very high temperatures and are capable of conducting currents of up to 300V.
