Masashi Kishimoto is the creator of "Naruto." It is a series done in Manga style that tells the tale of a young ninja who wishes to become a hokage, or village leader, and who truly wishes to be noticed and respected by his community. As a Japanese artist specializing in manga, Kishimoto designed the idea for the series. Kishimoto has a twin who is also a creator of manga series, notably "666 Satan" and another called "Blazer Drive." The basic idea for constructing Naruto came from a character called Sun Wukong, the main character in an ancient Chinese story. The creator also gave a shadowy past to Naruto to make him more interesting and has often changed the style of his clothing. His intention was to make the series more Westernized so it could reach more people.
The village in "Naruto" is called Konohagakure. It is the town in which the young ninja wishes to be accepted and to lead even though he is an outcast there. This is because a terrible monster, the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox, viciously marauded the town and now it resides within Naruto's body. The village wants nothing to do with him because of this. If he can become hokage, however, the leader of the village, they will have to recognize him and accept him.
Naruto's favorite food is ramen, a simple noodle meal of Japanese origin. Made up of noodles using wheat and eaten in a broth using fish or meat, it can be flavored with soy sauce. Other things that might be added to it are green onions, corn or miso. Kishimoto, the creator, has a penchant for the food himself, which explains its presence as his creation's favorite indulgence at the meal table.
Naruto's sense of humor is a distinctive trait of the character. He likes to make jokes so that he can be the center of attention. He also uses it to taunt his enemies or anyone who annoys him. One way he does this is by transforming himself into a naked girl during the other person's actions to mock them. He has a student named Sarutobi who admires his taunting humor so much that he seeks to perform the same types of tricks himself.
