Relate your current problem to certain things you previously learned. For example, if you're struggling with getting funds for your new online business, think about what you learned at a recent business seminar where you were taught to seek out grants from local nonprofit organizations. Or if you'ere undecided about how to cook a pot roast, refer to your mother's advice when you asked her how to prepare it.
Determine whether the previous information you learned applies to your current problem. If you need help with performing hip-hop dance but your only musical education was ballet or folk dancing, then your previous dancing skills may not help you with this form of dancing.
Practice the previous skills you learned so you can use them to solve future problems. If you recently took some classes about protecting yourself against identity theft, practice the instructions you learned so that you'll know what to do if you face the threat of identity theft in the future.
