Muzzy Spanish Listening Activities

Muzzy is a popular beginner's world language course developed by the BBC. This course was re-engineered for use in schools by Early Advantage and in this form has reached millions of students in 126 countries. The greatest advantage of the Muzzy Elementary Program in Spanish is its hands-on lesson plans.   1. Learn Your Shapes in Spanish

    • Children can learn the names of various shapes with Muzzy listening activities. Click on a large geometrical shape and another window opens with an interactive dialog that tells the Spanish name of that shape.

    Count from 1 through 5 in Spanish

    • Teach children to count from 1 to 5 in Spanish with this learning activity. Click on the "learn numbers" link, which will open into another screen displaying the numbers 1 to 5. The numbers are red and large against a yellow backdrop. As you click on a number, a dialog box opens that says the number in Spanish.

    Count 6 through 10 in Spanish

    • A new addition to the learn numbers listening activity in Spanish teaches children to count from 6 through 10. Click on the "learn numbers" link and choose the "listen" link for "learn numbers 6 through 10." A new dialog opens displaying the numbers on the screen. Click on each number to hear how it is pronounced in Spanish.

    Learn Your Primary Colors In Spanish

    • To listen to the names of primary colors in Spanish, click on the link "learn colors." A new screen will open showing the three colors: red, yellow and blue. Click on a color to hear it pronounced in Spanish.
