Information on the Suzuki Esteem

The first Suzuki Esteem was introduced in 1996. Suzuki manufactured new models of the Esteem every year between 1996 and 2002 when production ceased and made several changes to the line of cars throughout the years.

    • The 1996 Suzuki Esteem's engine offers 98 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 94 foot-pounds torque at 3,200 rpm. The 2002 Suzuki Esteems offer 122 horsepower at 6,300 rotations per minute, rpm.

    • The 2002 Esteems were fitted with 12.7-gallon fuel tanks. The fuel tank on the 1996 Esteems can hold 13.5 gallons of fuel. Models were all designed with either an automatic or manual transmission.

    • The automatic transmission 2002 Esteems offers 26 mpg fuel economy in the city and 33 mpg highway while the manual transmission model offers 28 mpg city and 35-mpg highway. The Esteem made in 1996 with an automatic transmission offers 27-mpg city and 34-mpg highway fuel economy while the manual transmission models offer 31-mpg city and 37-mpg highway.
