Models of the G-Series Van and Sport Van lines made in 1989 feature one of a few different engine options. Consumers have access to these vans with a 4.3-liter, six-cylinder engine, a 5.7-liter, eight-cylinder engine or a 6.2-liter, eight cylinder engine.
The 4.3-liter engines offer 150-horsepower and 230 foot-pounds of torque, while the 5.7-liter engines offer 185 to 195 horsepower as well as 285 to 300 foot-pounds of torque. The 6.2-liter engines are capable of producing between 130 and 148 horsepower. They also offer 240 to 259 foot-pounds of torque.
Both Chevy G-Series Van and Sport Van line models are designed with either a 110- or 125-inch wheelbase, depending on the model. These vans are either 178.2 or 202.2 inches long and 79.5 inches wide. They are 79.2, 79.4, 79.5, 79.8 or 81.9 inches tall.
