Use vocabulary flashcards. Create or buy flashcards with Spanish vocabulary words. Review the words daily and separate the cards with the words that you know from the cards that you don't know. Ask a friend to quiz you, using your flashcards.
Use the words in your everyday life. Practice the words by identifying objects and using the Spanish word to name them. Name common objects like a spoon, fork and plate during dinner. Name objects in your neighborhood and in your home. You will soon be able to point to a variety of objects and quickly say the Spanish name.
Practice the vocabulary words using a Spanish language audio recording. Listen and report the words on the audio recording.
Ask a friend or hire a tutor to help. A friend or a tutor who speaks Spanish fluently can help you pronounce the words correctly. Try to pronounce the words using the same accent and pronunciation as your Spanish-speaking friend.
