Polaris Scrambler 400 vs. 500

The Polaris Scrambler 400 and Polaris Scrambler 500 are both models of all-terrain vehicles (ATVs). Production ceased on the Polaris Scrambler 400 in 2003, but the Polaris Scrambler 500 is still being manufactured as of 2011. In 2003, both of these ATVs were designed to many different specifications.

    • Dry weight on the 2003 400 model Scrambler is 481 lbs., while dry weight on the 2003 500 model Scrambler is 571 lbs. Wheelbase on the 400 is 49.75 inches and wheelbase on the 500 is 48 inches.

    • The 2003 Scrambler 400 features a fuel tank with a 4-gallon capacity, while the fuel tank on the 2003 Scrambler 500 offers a 3.5-gallon capacity. Both ATVs employ 23x7-10 front tires, 22x11-10 rear tires and the Polaris variable automatic transmission.
