In order to be successful you must have goals. This does not necessarily mean your ultimate, long-term goal. It is important to set daily and weekly goals as well. Rome was not built in a day, and you will not become successful overnight. Write daily goals that you intend to achieve. Then start on weekly goals. When you achieve these small goals, in turn, you begin to build more self confidence.
Goals serve no purpose if you don't act on them. You must set aside time to achieve these goals and act on them. This means getting off the couch and making yourself do whatever it is you set aside that time to do. Stay focused on the task. It is easy to get distracted and allow everyday nuisances to divert your attention. Continue to tell yourself that you cannot stop what you are doing until your goal for that day is finished.
Many successful people have an abundance of self confidence and motivation. Believe in yourself that you will be successful. Each day that you take action toward a specific goal and achieve that goal, you will gain the confidence you need to tackle the next small goal. It becomes a snowball effect. The more self confident you become, the more motivated you are. The more motivated you are, the more goals you will want to tackle.
Another important factor in success is learning from your mistakes. You are going to make mistakes. The key is to not be discouraged because you fail. You take a step back and figure out why you failed. You then make the necessary changes so you do not make the same mistake again.
