Clark Forklift Parts List

Clark Material Handling Company (CMHG) is one of the largest manufacturers of package handling systems and alternative fuel, or battery-powered, inventory truck and vehicles in the world. The Clark CGC 55 line is in the middle of their product line for conventional internal combustion engined, liquid propane gas powered (ICE-LPG), front-drive forklifts. The unit is capable of lifting and transporting bulk materials weighing up to 5 metric tons (12,000 lbs.)
  1. Frame/Cab

    • The frame/cab assembly is the central component of the forklift. This structure encompasses the driver's overhead protective cover, cab, controls, seat, LPG fuel tank, engine, wheels/tires, transmission and trans-axle.

    Steering System

    • Because the CGC 55 needs an ability to lift significant loads while turning inside a narrow radius to handle both inside and outside operations, the system utilizes a narrow-track, highly-rugged steering/axle system. The system uses a dual-shear design to accommodate heavy loads, and also offers double-ended cylinders that create additional steering force under load.

    Hydraulic Upright and Fork/Carriage Assembly

    • These are active structures attached to the front of the frame and controlled by hand-activated levers inside the driver's cab. This assembly encloses the hydraulic lifting system, allowing the driver to move the desired material on a vertical carriage. The fork/carriage system is attached to the hydraulic assembly and provides a platform for material transport.
