CEU workshops are offered by a company, an external business or higher education institution. The workshop can be taken at work, on or off campus, or online. Employers determine the CEU workshops they want their employees to take and may offer their employees an incentive for completing the CEU workshop.
Continuing education units are offered by employers to improve employee job performance. Employees can receive CEU hours for learning that is informational or hands-on, allowing them to relearn or learn a new task.
CEU hours are offered in many subject areas and disciplines. The CEU workshop trainer(s) are knowledgeable in the workshops they teach.
CEU hours offered by school districts or colleges may allow employees to earn college credit.
Once an employee completes a CEU workshop, he often will receive a certificate with the name of the workshop, employee name, number of CEU hours completed, date and signature of the CEU trainer.
