Elementary numerical analysis is used in computational issues, hard sciences and economics. For the most part, elementary numerical analysis is limited to simple chart-making in sciences and economics. Most complicated numerical analysis is primarily conducted via computer, using a series of specialized applications.
Most elementary numerical analysis is conducted for either undergraduate or graduate projects at universities. These simple methods of numerical analysis involve the use of both linear and non-linear equations, approximation theory, differential equations and real analysis. More advanced methods of numerical analysis introduce lesser-used equations and elements of pure mathematics.
Numerical analysis is used in many occupations. According to textbook authors Richard Burden and J. Douglas Faires, numerical analysis can be used for engineering and the physical, computer, biological, economic and social sciences.
