Use a harvester, often referred to as a combine, such as a John Deere or International Harvester, to thresh the wheat stems. Modern combines gather the wheat stems and thresh the grain, separating the seed from the chaff automatically. The seeds are stored in an internal holding tank in the harvester, while the chaff is discarded out the rear of the harvester to be baled into hay for livestock.
Offload the wheat grain into a large truck or semi. When the holding tank of your harvester becomes full, wait for a grain-hauling truck to pull up alongside your harvester, under the auger. Then unload the grain into the truck. Have the truck slowly pull forward as it's being filled to make sure the grain is evenly distributed in the truck box for more efficient hauling.
Have the grain transported to your local grain elevator. When the box of your grain-hauling truck becomes full, have the fresh grain taken to the nearest grain elevator to be weighed and stored. Meanwhile, continue to thresh the remaining wheat stems in your field.
