Do an image search for Africa. Save and resize your chosen image of the continent to the exact desired size of the tiki; print it out. Alternatively, you can trace the outline using an image from a book or a world map.
Cut out the Africa shape to make a template. Place the template on the wood and trace around it.
Cut out the shape using a scroll saw, which allows you to make tight turns and create detailed edges.
Drill a hole near the top of the tiki.
Sand the edges of the tiki, and then paint or varnish the shape as desired. Paint or varnish the Greek letters, if necessary. Allow it to dry completely.
Glue the Greek letters to the Africa tiki using wood glue. Allow the glue to dry completely.
Cut the leather cord to your desired length. String the tiki through the cord. When it is centered, tie a knot above the hole in the tiki.
String wooden beads on the cord, if desired. Tie the ends in a double knot.
